The Earthmoving Legacy Center, in Elkader, Iowa, USA, is a 38,000 square foot facility to showcase the rich history of earthmoving. Its unique collection spans from the 1880's to 1940, focusing primarily on the evolution of the Caterpillar Company.
It came about as a way for John Moyna to share his large collection with everyone, whether they’re an avid tractor fan or a class of curious students. In creating the Earthmoving Legacy Center, they have had the opportunity to allow other collectors to loan their pieces as well, to help showcase early track-type tractors from Caterpillar, Holt Manufacturing and C.L. Best Manufacturing. The collection features approximately 50 early pieces, ranging from horse-drawn earthmoving equipment to the 1940’s era. Their motto is "EXPERIENCE THE POWER THAT SHAPED THE EARTH"

Engineering Model Developments (EMD), with more than a quarter century of model building experience, have the ability to develop, manufacture and promote eye-catching, precision scale models to ensure customer satisfaction every time. ERTL, still active today as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery, in the nineties of the last century under the name "MightyMovers Replica" produced a very limited serie of Caterpillar diecast scale models in 1:50th scale: Those were the Caterpillar 988B Wheel Loader, Caterpillar D10N Dozer, Caterpillar 631E Scraper, Caterpillar 5080 Excavator and the Caterpillar D350D Articulated Dump Truck. These models were later included in the Norscot program.
