The Caterpillar 914G Wheel Loader in 1:48th scale was released by CCM in 1997.

This handmade brass construction precision scale model is made in a limited edition of only 300 pieces in 1997 by CCM in scale 1:48. The model is packaged in a deluxe gift box and comes with a signed certificate. I am in possession of #178.

CCM has in 2023 posted the complete story about the creation of the Caterpillar 914G Wheel Loader scale model on its BLOG in the "Iron Profile" section and subsequently again in 2017 as "Memorable Model – Caterpillar 914G Wheel Loader"

Caterpillar 914G Wheel Loader

The Caterpillar 914G Wheel Loader was introduced in England in 1995 and was also manufactured in Japan a year later.

The machine is powered by a Caterpillar 3054 direct-injection turbocharged, four-cylinder transverse engine producing netto 90 HP.

The British-made machines with a standard hydrostatic (Hystat) transmission were assigned the prefix 7ZM for their serial numbers. British models equipped with a fast-travel (FT) transmission received the prefix 9WM. The Japanese-made machines were assigned the prefix 2NN. Production of the Caterpillar 914G wheel loader ceased in 2004.
