Digital Taxidermy is run by Theo from the UK and is a specialist in high-detail 3D Printed resin model kits, scalemodel vehicles and figures. Theo creates unique designs for collectors, modellers and wargamers who love British plant machinery, tanks, military vehicles, (Caterpillar) earthmoving and construction equipment and industrial machines.

I recently discovered some 3D-printed Caterpillar scale model kits on eBay that immediately caught my attention, as they are essential for any Caterpillar collection. But its getting better. He also runs his own website for those who want to buy directly from him!

• Caterpillar D2 Track-Type Tractor

Although the Caterpillar D2 Track-Type Tractor certainly isn't one of the most detailed kits in the program, but because of the reasonable price, I thought it was definitely worth contacting Digital Taxidermy. After an initial positive contact with Theo, and after receiving photos of the actual printed scale model, and finally, because it's possible to have them printed in 1:50 scale, I decided, together with my friends and fellow Caterpillar collectors Ad & Gertjan, to take the plunge and place an initial order for three Caterpillar D2 Track-Type Tractors to see what would be delivered! #EXCITING
