On Saturday April 25th 2026 the EBIANUM Digger Museum the seventh scale model exhibition was held. A heavy (literally!) Dutch delegation was present and showed some exclusive custom and 3D printed (Caterpillar) scale models during this unique event!
I have with help from my friends again put together a large number of photos and videos to allow everyone who could not be there live to enjoy the many (Caterpillar) scale models that were shown during EBIANUM 2026.

Ad once again brought a number of his most recent custom-built projects from the Netherlands. All unique, one-of-a-kind, handmade Caterpillar scale models in 1:50th scale, based on actual produced Caterpillar machines.

- Caterpillar D9T Scrub Dozer
This year, we had a special guest within the Dutch delegation: Jason Nikl, the man behind Nikl Scale models. Jason had traveled from America especially for the EBAINUM Modelshow 2026 to sell and promote his 3D-printed (Caterpillar) parts and kits.
The Caterpillar D9T Scrub Dozer equipped with Dixie Holdings attachments: stick rake, cutter bar, scrub dozer protection, tree pusher, and drawbar was developed and built by Ad in close collaboration with Jason, and is a superb example of the high quality and many new possibilities for unique custom projects using 3D-printed parts from Nikl Scale Models.

- Caterpillar D9 McCullochs Cable Plow
His Caterpillar D9 "Next Generation" Dozer, finished in the McCullochs Cable Plow version, was also on display.
It is our goal for the coming period in this Making-of Caterpillar D9 "Next Generation" McCullochs Cable Plow to show you how this custom model came into being from scratch to the final result.

Gertjan
Gertjan showed how you can modify and convert your Diecast Masters Caterpillar scale models with various 3D printed Upper Bodies, Booms, Work Tools and Attachments like Buckets, Rims, Tires and much more!
In his trademark "The display travel case," he showcased two 3D-printed and custom-built models in 1:50 scale this time: the Caterpillar 231D LC Excavator realized by GL3D Models from The Netherlands and the Caterpillar 235C excavator from CypModels with some modifications. Once again, two MINI masterpieces!
K+ Mining Models
Of course, Kari Feierabend, the man behind K+ Mining Models was also present during this EBIANUM Modelshow 2026 showing a number of his unique 3D printed kits and custom hand-built scale models including a number of very special Caterpillar Earthmoving models:
His eyecatcher is the Caterpillar 793F Mining Truck with Ground Force Worldwide Dumpbody in Canadian flag livery.
Martens en Van Oord
The model of the Caterpillar D5 LGP Dozer "MVO" with VPAT Blade in 1:50th scale is released in december 2025 by Diecast Masters in diecast in an Exclusive and Limited Edition for Martens en Van Oord.
The Caterpillar D5 LGP Dozer "MVO" is not only the first official Caterpillar scale model released by Diecast Masters for Martens en Van Oord, but in addition to the well-known fresh white and green MVO house colors, it has another unique feature that sets the scale model apart from the previously released Caterpillar D5 LGP Dozer in the standard Caterpillar colors: At the request of Martens en Van Oord, the model is equipped with a working and functional VPAT dozer blade. So it is truly a worldwide first.

In addition, the doors from the EBIANUM Digger Museum are open to the public each Wednesday, Saturdays and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 17:00. The entrance to the "moving experience for young and old" in EBIANUM is not for free, but the unique collection of scale models in the museum alone is more than worth the entrance fee.
