D9G 9C Cushion Blade

Introduced in 1961 as a replacement for the Caterpillar D9E, the Caterpillar D9G was the largest dozer produced at the time of it’s introduction. Features a D353 Turbocharged Diesel engine producing 385HP at 1,330RPM. Production ended in 1974 and then the model was succeeded by the Caterpillar D9H.

Equipped with the Caterpillar 9C Push Blade and Cushion Push Block, this configuration provided flexibility in push-loading situations. Mounted to the main frame, the Cushion Bulldozer features rubber springs behind the blade to absorb on-the-go shock contact.
