Wheeled Excavators

Excellent for a variety of applications such as ditch cleaning or road maintenance where you need to drive and use a work tool at the same time. Caterpillar Wheeled excavators can travel at 21.7 mph and are thus able to move from one job to the next so quickly minimizing the need for an additional means of transport. The additional hydraulic options allow the use of a wide range of attachments. Service points are accessible from ground level, providing safer conditions for fleet maintenance.

Currently, the Caterpillar Wheeled Excavator program includes seven models from the M314 through the M322.

M318

Caterpillar introduced the first Caterpillar M318 Wheeled Excavator in 1995, designed and manufactured in Germany. It was powered by a Caterpillar 3116 DIT diesel engine producing 133hp of power. This was followed by the M318C (MH), M318D (MH), M318F until the introduction in 2020 of the current Caterpillar M318 Next Gen as the latest addition to the M318 series.

The M318 Next Gen Excavator offers peak performance with 14% more swing torque and unparalleled versatility with fully integrated tilt swing and advanced hydraulics. Some hard facts to compare with its first brother: The machine has a Caterpillar C4.4 ACERTâ„¢ Engine with a net power of 174 hp operating weight of 43980 lb and a bucket of 1,19yd3.
