The Caterpillar 432D Backhoe Loader was introduced in 2001 as the first model in the 432 series and was manufactured only in England. This machine was equipped with a Caterpillar 3054T, four cylinder diesel engine.

Following Caterpillar developed since the 432D series II, 432E, 432E series II, 432F and is since 2015 the 432F2 the latest model in the 432 series.

The Caterpillar F2 Series Backhoe Loaders incorporate the latest in clean engine emissions technology, which meets EU Stage IIIB emission standards. With a host of new features that deliver improved fuel economy, introduced with the new electronic engine and unobstructed visibility for the operator thanks to an A-post mounted exhaust stack. The Caterpillar 432F2 has a Caterpillar C4.4 ACERT™ engine good for 95hp Netto Power.

Of the 432 Series Backhoe Loader is beside the 432D also the 432E released by Norscot. In 2016 Diecast Masters produced the 432F2 in 1:50th scale.
